The community has come together to show what a tight-knit town can do when faced with adversity.
Hundreds of people will head to Quamby and rodeo committee member Jane McMillan is proud of the resilience her community has shown.
“With the event being cancelled last year, it would have been easy to not do anything about it,” she said.
“But we have re-grouped and are hopeful to produce the biggest rodeo in recent memory.”
Staged by the Quamby All Sports Association, the event will give all patrons a chance to experience a true outback rodeo.
“In particular, we encourage people to come view our new kitchen and bar area, under our brand new infrastructure.”
The rodeo will include plenty of action in such events as the steer wrestling, barrel race, calf roping, team roping and bronc rides starting at 7am through until dusk.
Entry is adults $10 and children free.
