A last-gasp try against Cloncurry last weekend secured top spot for Wanderers.
But to ensure they qualify for the August16 grand final and host it in Mount Isa, Wanderers must beat inter-city rivals Town at 5pm tomorrow.
“The whole team will be looking for an improved performance on Saturday, because we know that a repeat won’t be good enough,” Wanderers captain Anton Saltmere said.
“If we can concentrate on completing our sets and looking after the ball, it should go a long way to improving our play.
“Townies always give us a fierce contest and I’m sure they will push us right to the end on Saturday.”
