An Ipswich man who suffered serious injuries after he was allegedly attacked by his housemate has died in hospital.

Mal Wood, 51, was rushed to hospital on Sunday after emergency services were called to his home on Scottsdale Street in Raceview, west of Brisbane.
Mr Wood, a road traffic controller, had reportedly suffered severe injuries to his neck and head after being tied up, the Queensland Times reported.
His 50-year-old male housemate, Kenneth John Beattie, was charged with attempted murder and torture. The charge was upgraded to murder on Friday morning after Mr Wood’s death on Thursday.
Mr Beattie faced Ipswich Magistrates Court earlier this week and is due to return to court on August 20.
Police said a woman was also assisting them with investigations.
A crime scene has been set up at the home.
