Jyden Kirkpatrick, 27, is one of two men from the Gold Coast allegedly linked with a Tasmanian chapter of the Rebels Motorcycle Club.
A total of six people were arrested last week over an alleged plan to bring $20 million of amphetamines into Tasmania from the UK, with half of the shipment going via Queensland.
Mr Kirkpatrick’s fellow Gold Coast co-accused, Jed Leggett, has already been granted bail.
The pair have been charged under federal drug laws that carry a maximum life sentence.
Police claim the Rebels paid $194,000 for a total of eight kilograms of amphetamines from the UK supplier but stood to make nearly $20 million had they sold the drugs on the street.
Mr Kirkpatrick appeared before the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning where his bail application was refused.
He was remanded in custody and will re-appear in court on September 9.
