Police are investigating whether a pipe explosion at an Ipswich home on the weekend is linked to an incident last year when a golf ball blew up and seriously injured a teenager.

A 59-year-old woman suffered minor leg injuries about 4.30pm on Sunday after a PVC pipe rolled off the back of her husband's ute and exploded in the driveway.
Emergency services were called to the home on Ripley Road in Flinders View and declared the property a crime scene.
The woman was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Ipswich Police Inspector David Preston said no other explosive devices were found at the property, and the pipe would be taken away for testing.
"There must have been a build-up of something inside the pipe and when it hit the ground it went off,” Inspector Preston told The Queensland Times.
"He was preparing to attach it to the ute. As he walked away it fell on the ground and the cap blew off and the shrapnel injured the legs of the man's wife who was nearby.”
Investigators are examining whether the incident is linked to a golf ball explosion in May last year, when a teenager lost most of his fingers.
He was with a group of teenagers when they found a golf ball filled with white powder and ball-bearings. The device exploded and left the teen with horrific hand injuries.
