Jacob claimed both the boys’ nine and under singles and doubles titles in the event, which was held at Mount Isa’s Copper City Tennis Club on Saturday.
Jacob defeated Ryan Bowler 23-20 in the singles final before teaming up with Ryan to defeat Shaima De Sagun and Remy McGrigor in the nine and under doubles competition.
Mount Isa’s Thomas Braithwaite also had a successful day, claiming both the boys’ 13-15 singles and the 13-15 doubles.
Thomas cruised to a 9-2 victory against Matthew Braithwaite in the nine and under singles final.
Thomas joined forces with Amy Kuhne to defeat Cameron Bowler and Kristine DeSagun, 18-14, in the doubles final.
Amy was also victorious in the 11 and under doubles with partner Jake Russell.
The pair easily accounted for Matthew Bowler and Lillian Durant, 6-1, in the final.
Jake fell one match short in the boys 11 and under singles tournament, losing 18-13 to Matthew Bowler.
The DeSagun girls dominated the girls’ side of the draw, with Shaima and Kristine winning their respective age group.
Shaima DeSagun outclassed runner-up Remy McGrigor, 12-6, in the girls’ nine and under singles while Kristine DeSagun defeated Amy Kuhne, 12-7, in the 11-13 girls’ singles.
