Police have charged a backpacker over a head-on car crash that killed two Queensland men last week.

The 30-year-old woman from Hong Kong was driving with a fellow backpacker towards the central Queensland town of Childers when their car collided with an oncoming vehicle carrying the two men on August 21.
Initial investigations have indicated the woman crossed double lines to overtake a truck about 5.45am on the Isis Highway before smashing into the other car, the Bundaberg News Mail reported.
The men aged 51 and 41, both from Hervey Bay, died at the scene.
The Hong Kong national has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
She was due to face Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday.
