The kindergarten was opened on the St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School campus in 2013.
It was blessed by the late Townsville-based Catholic bishop Michael Putney when he visited Mount Isa for the kindergarten’s grand opening.
Catholic Education early childhood curriculum advisor Lee-Ann Barton said the kindergarten would grow in 2015 to include larger indoor and outdoor play areas.
“Kindergarten is a fantastic way for children to be introduced to the school environment, and paves the way for their move to prep,” she said.
“We are pleased to open our doors to the community so families can come along to see the facilities and find out more about kindergarten and the plans for expansion.”
The open night starts from 6pm tonight at the St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School on 23rd Avenue, and will include a barbeque, face painting, jumping castle and other activities for children.
