During the morning's question time session, Mr Langbroek took a 'question without notice' from fellow LNP MP Darren Grimwade on "what the government is doing to ensure our children have access to the best education today and into the future in my electorate of Morayfield".

In thanking Mr Grimwade, Mr Langbroek predicted he would receive a "question pretty soon about similiar issues" from the member for Kallangur.

And lo and behold, not 20 minutes later, Trevor Ruthenberg stood up.

"My question without notice is to the Minister for Education, Training and Employment," he said.

"Can the minister outline to the House what this government is doing to ensure that our children have access to the best education today...."

Mr Ruthenberg was cut off by Opposition MP Tim Mulherin who interjected with "Old Nostradamus over there" but after Mr Mulherin was given a slight verbal knuckle wrap from Speaker Fiona Simpson for the interjection, Mr Ruthenberg continued.

"...Can the minister outline to the House what this government is doing to ensure that our children have access to the best education today and into the future in my electorate of Kallangur?"

"What a surprise to get a question from the member for Kallangur," Mr Langbroek explained, completely unsurprised.

As he had for Mr Grimwade's question, Mr Langbroek, whose portfolio is once again being featured by the government this week, handily had the facts and figures relating to Mr Ruthenberg's electorate at hand.

Just as he did for Michael Crandon who used his question without notice to ask Mr Langbroek to "outline to the House what this government is doing to ensure our children have access to the best education today and the exciting future in my electorate of Coomera".

Albert MP Mark Boothman didn't think the future was exciting like Mr Crandon, but he did want to know "what this government is doing to ensure that our children have the best education today and into the future in the great electorate of Albert", which Mr Langbroek was more than happy to answer.

But not every government MP expected the education minister to have the answers.

Some, like Toowoomba North MP Trevor Watts turned to Premier Campbell Newman to learn "what this government is doing to ensure that our children have access to the best education today and into the future, particularly in my electorate of Toowoomba North".

Michael Latter had the same idea, asking the Premier "...what this government is doing to ensure our children have access to the best education, today and in the future, in my electorate of Waterford" and so did Jason Costigan who felt compelled to ask, without notice, "...what this government is doing to ensure that our chidren have access to the best education today and into the future in my electorate of Whitsunday".

But they were all just following in the footsteps of Pumicestone MP, Lisa France, who had asked first.
