Those behind the scenes were once again front and centre in the Queensland Parliament, with the government unable to say how much it is paying consultants to help it sell its privatisation plan.

On Tuesday, Premier Campbell Newman confirmed Liberal Party pollsters and campaign strategists Crosby Textor were on the books. The Phillips Group have also been engaged.
On Wednesday, the Opposition added PPR and Burson-Marsteller to that list.
The government has budgeted $11.2 million in total for its Strong Choices advertising campaign. Opposition leader Annastacia Palaszczuk once again questioned how much the consultancies were costing the government. And once again Mr Newman said it would be revealed once the campaign was finished - after the election.
"The reason I make that point is that the work is still underway," he said.
But he made a point of assuring the Parliament that Queensland Treasury and Trade "followed a very structured procurement process to select the consultants, which included a probity advisor".
"Nobody on this side of the chamber was involved in the decision-making process," he said.
"It was officers of the Treasury."
Mr Newman then managed to turn the question into an attack on Labor, employing a tactic he has used since the beginning of July.
"But why is the work being done? The work is being done because, while this government has effectively healed this state's budget in a here and now sense...we still have $80 billion worth of Labor debt costing at least $450,000 a hour in Labor interest payments.
"That is still there."
After Tuesday's 'parrot parliament' performance, government MPs made an effort to mix up their questions, which Mr Newman made special mention of, as he and Mr Springborg answered the slightly different questions on the topic of the day - health.
"I thank the honourable member for the question, which sounds substantially different from some of the other questions that were being asked by honourable members," he said in answer to an Aaron Dillaway request for an "update...on how the government's strong plans have improved front-line service delivery of emergency care across the Metro South Hospital and Health Service region?"
David Kempton had a question about whether the "residents of my electorate [had] seen any improvement in the performance of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service in addressing local elective surgery waiting lists as a consequence of the LNP government's record investment in front-line health services."
Mr Newman was pleased to report that he "listened closely; it is quite a distinctly different question from the other questions we have been getting because it is about the hospital and health service in his local area".
Parliament will return on Thursday.
