MIETV is in “desperate need” of a maintenance manager, a chef, and a theatre technician.
“It is vital to employ a theatre technician to ensure events to continue at the Civic Centre,” the July monthly report said.
The report said the offering of positions had been halted until there was a workable bank account.
“Also, MIETV office is not fully equipped for any more staff,” the report said.
The report acknowledged the gain of “valuable assets” to the MIETV team, which includes tourism manager Kylie Rixon, entertainment manager Beau Thomas, mine guide Tony Hobbs, facility cleaner Samantha Mitchell, administrator Sheree Blackley and groundsman Scott Mullins.
However, two employees have resigned during the restructuring.
The report also recommends upgrading signage for Outback at Isa and for the underground mine tours.
From July 1 to August 14, 2260 people toured the Hard Times Mine.
There were 117 mining tours during this peak tourist season.
The report was formally received by Mount Isa City councillors last week.
