The 21-year-old man from Withcott, near Toowoomba, was spotted on Table Top Mountain by a helicopter search crew about 8am on Tuesday.
Paramedics from the RACQ CareFlight Rescue and Queensland Police helped treat the man.
An RACQ CareFlight Rescue spokeswoman said the man was suffering from exposure but was able to walk with the assistance of paramedics.
He was taken to the Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
On Monday, police issued an alert saying the man's disappearance was out of character because he had not made contact with friends or family.
