Queensland Police from Camooweal and Northern Territory Police from Avon Downs intercepted a white van about 3.30pm last Friday with a male and female occupant.
Police said the occupants and vehicle were searched and drug paraphernalia located and a further search located approximately 30 grams of a white crystal substance believed to be methyl-amphetamines.
A woman was charged with possession of a major quantity of drugs and two charges of possession of drug related utensils.
Camooweal Sergeant Daniel Baker said operations were proving successful on the border.
“Camooweal police are committed to local border operations with the Northern Territory to ensure safety and security on our major thoroughfare through the region,” he said.
“Such arrests highlight our commitment to such operations”.
The woman is due to appear in the Camooweal Magistrates Court on November 26.
