So there you have it!
A real changing of the guard tonight with 13 new faces in the 2014 All-Australian team.
Sydney was the best represented team with four players followed by Fremantle (three) and Hawthorn (three).
The top-four teams produced half of the side this year with Geelong having one player too.
Interestingly, preliminary finalist North Melbourne was shunned.
That means the following players missed out:
Eddie Betts, Sam Jacobs, Bryce Gibbs, Dayne Beams, Tom Hawkins, Tom Lonergan, Harry Taylor, Callan Ward, Shaun Burgoyne, Jack Gunston, Brent Harvey, Jay Schulz, Brandon Ellis, Dustin Martin, Luke Parker, Eric Mackenzie, Matt Priddis and Tom Liberatore.
Of the 18 overlooked players, who was the unluckiest one?
North Melbourne, Carlton, GWS, Melbourne, West Coast and the Western Bulldogs were the six unrepresented sides.
Joining Ablett (eight) as multiple All-Australians tonight are Nick Riewoldt (five), Franklin (five), Pendlebury (five), Sandilands (four), Joel Selwood (four), Jarryd Roughead (two), Sydney's Josh Kennedy (two) and Boak (two).
Incredibly, Ablett has not only won eight All-Australian guernseys, but eight STRAIGHT guernseys! What a freak.
The biggest All-Australian droughts that ended tonight belonged to Nick Riewoldt (five years) and Aaron Sandilands (four).
