What are your hobbies? I volunteer for the North West Breast Cancer Support Group most days of the week.
I also love to make jewellery.
What inspires you to do so much charity work? I love helping people.
How long have you lived in Mount Isa? I moved here from Mackay 26 years ago.
What do you like most about living in a small community? Everybody is friendly, people aren’t afraid to help and everywhere you look, someone is always smiling, unlike in the bigger cities.
What’s on your bucket list? Travel to Broome in Western Australia and ride the camels down Cable Beach.
Did you enjoy your day at Look Good Feel Better (A cosmetic industry community initiative helping cancer patients)? I had a wonderful time. I met a group of lovely ladies and would recommend any women going through treatment or post-treatment to go and have a fun morning.
It also gave me more confidence in applying my make-up. You also get to keep all the donated products, which is a bonus!
■The next Mount Isa Look Good Feel Better is on November 10. Register at www.lgfb.org.au or call 1800650960.
