Promising Canberra Raiders back-rowers Patrick Mago and Tevita Pangai have been named in the Junior Kangaroos team to take on New Zealand in Auckland on October 18.

Both players have been earmarked by Raiders coach Ricky Stuart for first-grade honours soon. Eighteen-year-old Pangai is one of the first players Stuart re-signed when he arrived at the club last year.
Although he is still eligible for the under-20s competition, Mago spent most of the year with Queensland feeder club Souths Logan Magpies. Pangai was one of the standouts for NSW Cup side Mounties.
Young Raiders lock Luke Bateman missed out on a place in the final team after he was earlier named in the train-on squad.
