Brisbane band Sheppard has scored the second-highest number of ARIA nominations for 2014.

The indie rock group is up for seven gongs, including Album of the Year for Bombs Away, and Song of the Year for the irresistibly catchy Geronimo.
It's another milestone for the six-piece band, which will on October 20 become the first Australian group to perform on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show.
Lead singer George Sheppard said he was stunned.
"I didn't have any idea that we were going to get nominated for seven," he said.
"We had Stuart's nomination, our producer, and I was happy with that...
"To get another six after that, it's a nice pat on the back from the industry."
Stuart Stuart was nominated for Producer of the Year for his work on Bombs Away.
Sheppard consists of George, his sisters Amy and Emma, plus Jay Bovino, Michael Butler and Dean Gordon.
The Sheppards' parents have played an instrumental part in their career, with Dad Greg first encouraging them to record together, and Mum Linda still touring with the band.
"We've all been on this crazy roller-coaster together so it's a win for the whole Sheppard team," he said.
"We're all extremely excited - just to be nominated we feel like we've won."
Sheppard will be up against fellow Brisbane band Violent Soho in the Best Group and Best Independent Release categories.
The already legendary live performers are currently on their "No Sleep Til Mansfield" tour.
Indie five-piece Ball Park Music is up for Best Rock Album for Puddinghead, while Caboolture's own Keith Urban was nominated for Best Country Album for Fuse.
Other successful Queenslanders include musical duo Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall, who received nods for separate albums.
Miller-Heidke's O Vertigo! is up for the Best Adult Contemporary award, while Nuttall's alter-ego, country star Franky Walnut, has been nominated in the Best Comedy Release category for The Franky Walnut Reflective Drink Coaster.
"Pretty good day so far," Miller-Heidke posted on Twitter.
Soulful Melbourne singer-songwriter Chet Faker topped the list of nominees with nine, while international superstar Sia received six.
The ARIAs will be held in Sydney on November 29.
