The G20 Taskforce has released the full list of road closures that will affect Brisbane residents during the summit.

Sections of the CBD will be closed for six days, parts of South Brisbane will be blocked for a week, and streets around the Ekka Showgrounds will also be affected.

The Victoria Bridge will be shut to traffic between 7pm on November 13 and 5am on November 17. The William Jolly Bridge will also be closed to southbound traffic between 5pm and 11pm on November 15.

With traffic delays expected around the airport, travellers have been encouraged to use the Airtrain between November 14 and 17.

"For most people in Brisbane it will be business as usual over the long weekend," the G20 Taskforce said on its website.

The taskforce said "significant changes" would be in place for roads around the city and South Brisbane, leading to "increased journey times for motorists, and changes to parking and public transport".

"Impacts will be greatest in the Brisbane CBD, South Brisbane and routes to and from the airport and the city, and there may be flow-on effects and congestion across Brisbane," the taskforce said.

Between November 13 and 17, there will be partial closures of Alice, Ann, Roma and William Street, along with North Quay and Queens Wharf Road.

Restrictions will also be in place for areas of Queen, Adelaide and Ivory streets from November 11 to 17.

In South Brisbane, a number of roads will be partially closed, including Grey, Melbourne, Merrivale and Hope streets.

"If travelling to South Bank plan your trip and allow extra time ahead of your journey and where possible use public transport, cycle or walk," the G20 Taskforce said.

About 4000 delegates, 3000 media and 5000 police are expected to be in Brisbane during the G20 Summit on November 15 and 16.

Road closures:

CBD

Tuesday November 11 to 5am Monday November 17:

• Adelaide Street: Closed inbound between Ivory Street and Queen Street. Outbound traffic will operate as normal.
• Ivory Street: Closed inbound between Brunswick Street and Ann Street and Story Bridge and Ann Street. Outbound traffic will operate as normal.
• Queen Street: One lane closed in-bound, from the intersection of Adelaide and Queen Streets for approximately 100 metres. Out-bound traffic will operate as usual.

7pm Thursday November 13 to 5am Monday November 17:

• Alice Street, Ann Street, Roma Street and William Street: Lane closures with through traffic permitted.
• Victoria Bridge: Closed to traffic, pedestrian access maintained on the northside. Cyclists encouraged to use Kurilpa Bridge.
• William Street/North Quay: Closed between Ann and Elizabeth Streets.
• Queens Wharf Road: Exit and entry via William Street will be closed, access will be available from the south.

Saturday 15 November from 5pm to 11pm:

• William Jolly Bridge: Closed to southbound traffic.

• Russell Street: Closed between Grey Street and South Bank Promenade.

Closures from Tuesday November 11 to 5am Monday November 17:

• Grey Street: Closed between Melbourne Street and Glenelg Street.
• Glenelg Street: Closed between Merivale Street and railway overpass.

Closures from Thursday November 13 to 5am Monday November 17:

• Hope Street: Closed between Peel Street and Melbourne Street. Local access will be maintained.

Closures from 7pm Thursday November 13 to 5am Monday November 17:

• Victoria Bridge: Closed.
• Melbourne Street: Closed between Victoria Bridge and Cordelia Street.
• Merivale Street: Closed between Melbourne Street and Ernest Street.
• Merivale Street: Closed between Peel Street and Melbourne Street. Local access will be maintained.
• Glenelg Street: Closed between Grey Street and railway overpass.
• Glenelg Street: Closed between Cordelia Street and Merivale Street. Local access will be maintained between Cordelia and Merivale Street.
• Grey Street: Closed between Peel and Melbourne Street.
• Grey Street: Closed northbound between Glenelg and Ernest Street.
• Russell Street: Closed between Cordelia and Merivale Street. Local access will be maintained.

Little Stanley Street, between Glenelg Street and Ernest Street will remain open but will operate one way northbound from the South Bank car park entry/exit.

Road closures on Saturday 15 November:

• William Jolly Bridge: Closed southbound only and the eastern footpath will be closed (5pm – midnight).
• Grey Street: Closed southbound, between William Jolly Bridge and Peel Street and the eastern footpath will be closed (5pm – midnight).
• Stanley Place: Closed between Montague Road and Grey Street (5am – midnight).
• Montague Road: Closed between Hope Street and Stanley Place (morning – midnight).  Local access will be maintained.
• Cultural Centre Tunnel: Closed (5am – midnight).

South Brisbane parking

Road closures in South Brisbane will require temporary changes to on-street parking in the areas below. This includeS changes to taxi ranks and loading zones and will result in a number of "No Standing – Tow Away" areas:

• Grey Street: Eastside between Glenelg Street and Ernest Street.
• Grey Street: Westside between Ernest Street and Tribune Street.
• Grey Street: Westside between Melbourne Street and Peel Street.
• Little Stanley Street: Between Glenelg Street and Tribune Street.
• Ernest Street: Northside, between Cordelia Street and Merivale Street.
• Merivale Street: Both sides between Montague Road and Melbourne Street.
• Hope Street: Both sides between Peel and Melbourne Street.
• Hope Street: Westside, between Montague and Peel Street.
• Hope Street: Eastside (partial), between Montague St and Peel Street.

The following car parks will also be closed:

• Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC):  October 21 to November 22.
• Cultural Precinct Car Parks (QPAC Riverside Car Park, Art Gallery Museum Car Park and Stanley Place Car Park): 7am Friday November 14 to 8.30am Sunday November 16.

• Airport Drive: The exit from Moreton Drive onto Airport Drive will be closed from Friday November 14 to approximately mid-afternoon Saturday November 15. There will be periodic closures along Airport Drive between Nancy Bird Way and Lomandra Drive from Friday November 14 to midnight Sunday November 16. 
• Da Vinci Business Park: Modified access arrangements via Lomandra Drive/Boronia Road/Sugarmill Road intersection will be in place due the closure of parts of Boronia Road (west) and Leonardo Drive from 6pm Wednesday November 12 to 12pm Monday November 17. It is recommended that staff and tenants travel via Sugarmill Road to access this precinct.
• Qantas Drive: Modified access arrangements will be provided for businesses along Qantas Drive. Entry will be available (vehicle size restrictions apply) via the International terminal. Vehicle size restrictions will be provided by Brisbane Airport Corporation. 
• Viola Place: Access to Viola Place will be accessible at all times.
• SkyGate: Access to and from Skygate will be available at all times from Airport Drive. Lakeside Drive will experience periodic road closures from Friday November 14 to midnight Sunday November 16. 
• Pinkenba (Main Beach Road/Bancroft Road/Main Myrtleton Road): Lomandra Road will experience periodic road closures therefore recommended access to Pinkenba is via Kingsford Smith Drive/Eagle Farm Road.

Changed traffic conditions expected along O'Connell Terrace. Wren Street (between Campbell Street and O'Connell Terrace) and Waldon Lane will be closed to through traffic with local access provided.

Ekka Showgrounds parking

Temporary changes to on-street parking will be in place around Brisbane Showground. Parking restrictions will be in place along:

• O'Connell Terrace: Southside (Monday November 10 – Monday November 17 inclusive).
• Gregory Terrace: Both sides between Brookes Street and Alexandria Street (Monday November 3 – Monday November 17 inclusive).
• Gregory Terrace: Between Bowen Bridge Road and Alexandria Street (Thursday evening November 13 – midnight Sunday November 16).
