Kill the Messenger is led by two-time Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, American Hustle, The Bourne Legacy) as journalist Gary Webb.
Webb investigates a story about the men behind a major cocaine-smuggling operation in the US and alleges the CIA is using the profits to arms rebels fighting in Nicaragua.
His chase for truth leads him through the prisons of California, villages of Nicaragua and Washington, D.C.
Directed by Michael Cuesta (TV's Homeland and Six Feet Under), Kill the Messenger is a David and Goliath-type story of journalistic integrity and high-level governmental corruption, supported by an all-star cast.
