Queensland has no plans to expunge the record of people found guilty of homosexual acts under historic laws - despite New South Wales and Victoria moving forward with pardons - because it doesn't consider it a priority.

A 2012 Federal Senate inquiry found all state and territory governments should examine ways to expunge convictions under laws which existed in Queensland until 1991 and made consensual homosexual acts illegal.
The Victorian government brought the issue back into the spotlight when it moved to quash the convictions of men found guilty under laws it repealed in 1980.
Both the New South Wales government and its opposition have vowed to support a private member's bill which will see that state follow suit.
But despite considering a similar move in September 2013, Queensland Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie said the government had no plans to follow suit.
"Any decision on this would need to be considered and approved by cabinet and there are currently no plans to bring it to cabinet," a spokesman for the Attorney-General said.
"The government's priorities are lowering the cost of living for families, growing a four pillar economy and tackling crimes such as organised crime, drugs, domestic and drunken violence."
One of the LNP's first moves when it came to power in 2012 was to wind back the civil union legislation the Labor government passed in its dying days, to "bring it in line with the other states".
The changes meant same-sex couples maintained the legal rights granted to them by the Labor legislation, but could no longer have state-sanctioned declaration ceremonies.
A spokesman for the Queensland opposition said the party would consult with the Queensland Law Reform Commission on expunging the convictions if it won the next election.
"Given that both consensual and non-consensual matters could be covered by the same offences, a Queensland Labor government would refer the issue to the Queensland Law Reform Commission for its appropriateness of making this change to the law and, if so, how it should be effected," a spokesman for the opposition said.
