Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie announced he is "not shutting the door" on expunging the record of people charged and convicted under historic laws which made consensual homosexual acts illegal.

Fairfax Media revealed on Thursday that despite both Victoria and New South Wales moving forward with pardons, the Queensland government had no plans to follow suit and did not consider it a priority.
But by Thursday afternoon, Mr Bleijie "clarified" the government's position - and said it was "happy to look at" following the lead of other jurisdictions, and would welcome submissions on the issue.
Mr Bleijie said he had personally contacted the president of the Brisbane Pride Festival, Peter Black, and asked him to meet with him over the issue.
"I understand the importance of this issue to many in our community," Mr Bleijie said.
"We'll have a look at what other jurisdictions are doing and see if there is a way forward to achieve that in Queensland."
A Federal Senate inquiry in 2012 recommended all Australian states and territories look at expunging the record of those caught under the historic laws, which Queensland did not repeal until 1990.
In late September 2013, the Queensland government confirmed it was examining the issue, but did not move forward.
With both Victoria and New South Wales actively working to pardon the convictions, Queensland would have been out of step with the east coast.
Mr Bleijie said he wanted to meet with Dr Black to discuss the particulars around the issue and work at coming to a solution.
"Certainly we are not ruling it out in Queensland. It is a technical issue, but it is an issue that is important to many Queenslanders and we have to really look at it," he said.
"It is certainly something that I am not shutting the door on...I think the best course of action in Queensland is to meet with Dr Black and really open the door in terms of them putting submissions to me and looking at what other jurisdictions have done."
Dr Black said he was looking forward to the conversation.
"I was pleased the Attorney-General reached out to me to arrange this meeting and I look forward to the opportunity to argue the case for law reform in this area," he said.
"The fact that Victoria and New South Wales have moved in this direction indicates this should be a matter of priority for Queensland."
Conveyor of Diversity in Gender and Sexuality (DiGS) Equality, Dylan Carmichael said the government had a chance to "take a strong moral stance to right the wrongs of the past" with the move.
A date for the meeting is yet to be set.
