Hajnal Dalia Ban - also known as Hajnal Black - was again found guilty of breaching the Local Government (Operations) Regulation on three occasions.

A fourth conviction and $1000 penalty was overturned in the Queensland District Court on Thursday.

Ms Ban was charged with failing to declare pecuniary interests while in public office during her time at the Logan City Council, following accusations she mismanaged the joint bank account she had with former mentor Russell Tacon.

In 2011, the Supreme Court found Ms Ban should not have transferred $1.37 million of Mr Tacon's money into her own account.

Mr Tacon, who walked Ms Ban down the aisle at her wedding, developed dementia and passed away aged 67 in 2012.

Ms Ban was fined $7450 and found guilty in March 2012 of four breaches of the Local Government (Operations) Regulation in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court when she walked out of a court hearing.

A warrant was issued and she was eventually arrested a week later.

She filed an appeal in January 2014 on nine grounds, including that the sentence was too severe and "inadmissible evidence" from a separate court matter had been relied upon.

She said one of the reasons for the near two-year delay lodging the appeal was because she had moved house three times and had a number of health issues, including a broken toe which did not heal properly and chronic fatigue caused by a "severely infected tooth".

In dismissing three of the four appeals, Judge Brad Farr said "the explanations proffered provide no reasonable excuse to the applicant for such an extraordinary delay".

However on one of the charges, Judge Brad Farr upheld her appeal.

"In my view inadmissible evidence was placed before the court which ultimately resulted in the applicant being convicted of an offence for which no case existed," he said.

The convictions mean Ms Ban is not allowed to run for public office for four years.
