Organisers have drawn on feedback from sponsors, exhibitors and the public and have pledged to make 2015 an improved version of this year’s debut event.
Representatives from Gidgee Healing, the North West Hospital and Health Service, Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health, Central and North West Queensland Medicare Local and local health service providers met recently to analyse the post event survey of sponsors and exhibitors.
The founding partners were pleased with the results from the event and agreed to progress a 2015 Mount Isa Health Expo.
North West Hospital and Health Board chairman Paul Woodhouse complimented the organising partners on their efforts.
“Based on the feedback received, we can all agree that the inaugural Mount Isa Health Expo was a very successful initial event, directly due to it being a joint effort,” Mr Woodhouse said.
“We achieved our goal to showcase the wide variety of health-related services available to the region in a fun and interactive fashion.
Expo co-ordinator Katie Schrodter, of Headlines, reported the organisers were keen to ask the public for their suggestions.
“The partners would value ideas from the public,” Ms Schrodter said.
