As Central State School celebrates its 90th birthday, organisers are on the lookout for the oldest local resident to have attended the school.
The school will celebrate the milestone on Friday, October 31. At the celebrations, from 1pm, the school will commence the festivities by opening classes to the public.
Each class will represent a theme of a decade of days gone by.
Then from 2.10pm, the school will host a ceremony to seal its time capsule, which will be opened in 2024 – Central State School’s 100th year. The ceremony will be followed by bush games on the oval and barbecue. The school community would like to invite all members of the public to join the celebrations and if you believe you are the oldest local resident who has attended Central State School, contact the school’s office to join the official guests.
