THE Black Stars cricket team has got off to a scorching start in the Mount Isa Cricket Association this season, winning its first two matches. Some are putting it down to a committed team effort, while others are crediting new skipper Ian Barlow as the mastermind behind the start. The third train of thought is that last season’s captain and all-rounder Nathan Giles has taken a step back this season, to concentrate on his batting.
