A Gold Coast Country Club caretaker was beaten with a baseball bat and forced to open the clubhouse for two robbers on Thursday night.

The 60-year-old man was attacked in his Helensvale home on the Country Club Drive grounds about 9.40pm by two men wearing balaclavas.
One of them hit him with the baseball bat while the other claimed to have a gun, though did not produce it.
The pair then forced the man out of his home to the nearby Country Club and made him open the clubhouse.
They stole cash before bundling the caretaker into the boot of his own car, stealing his phone and wallet, and dumping him a short distance away on Country Club Drive.
The car is a white Hyundai Sonata with the Queensland registration 515 HEY.
The victim was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with cuts and bruises to his head and chest.
