Ms Spiller, 54, fronted for her first tattoo in 20 years at Hammer & Forge tattoo parlour on Monday . It was her sixth tattoo, her first when she was 19 years old.
“It’s for the fight against breast cancer,” she said.
“Spending the money was worth it; the pain won’t matter in a few days.”
Ms Spiller chose a heart with wings and pink ribbon as her tattoo.
Merlesa Rossow, who owns Hammer & Forge with tattooist husband Michael, described the day as a success.
“We had three tattooists, including Chris Spyrou, from Cairns, and Justine Hefel, and they were kept busy. We did 19 tattoos today and we made $2850,” she said.
“I owe a big thank you to the tattooists for donating their time.
“As pledged, all money raised will be donated for breast cancer research.
“It was such a pleasure to give our time to a great cause and have a fantastic time doing it. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this day possible.”
Each tattoo cost $150.
Mrs Rossow said cupcakes were donated to the cause by Alison Hagan and the most popular tattoo was the set of boxing gloves.
