The formal start of this process is the development of a Senior Education and Training Plan prior to entering their senior phase of learning.
Currently all year 10 students and their parents are meeting individually with a school staff member to develop a SET Plan.
Deputy principal Chris Pocock said that this process allowed a clear direction to be established early so they can select the most appropriate course of study.
“This allows students to start their senior education confident that they have selected the most appropriate course of study for their chosen career pathway,” Mr Pocock said.
Principal Denise Kostowski said that this process had been running in the school for many years and parents valued the opportunity to learn about new study options for their child.
“We find that we have less disruption to learning at the beginning of the year so students can maximise their learning time from day one,” she said.
