The 26-year-old Northern Pride star this week signed a one-year contract with the Gold Coast Titans for season 2015.
Crampton, who this week celebrated his birthday, said he was over the moon with finally accomplishing his life-time goal.
“To be honest, it all still feels a little surreal at this stage,” Crampton said.
“I can’t wait to get down to the Gold Coast, meet all the boys and start ripping in on the training paddock.
“I’m sad to leave the Pride after all they have done for me, but this is what I have been working my whole life for.
“All the hard work is finally starting to pay off but I know that I still have a lot of work to do to make my first grade debut.
“Being in a full-time football environment for the first time in my life, I’m excited about my potential to improve as a player.”
Ahead of preseason training starting on Monday, Titans coach Neil Henry phoned Crampton and welcomed him to the club.
“Neil rang me up, welcomed me to the club and said he looked forward to working with me at training,” Crampton said.
“We didn’t discuss any of the particulars but I think my best position is probably as a utility off the bench.
“At my time at the Pride, I was able to cover numerous positions and I think I’ll have a similar role at the Titans.”
