Mount Isa resident Jane Elliott said Pepper, worth almost $1000, escaped from the family home about two weeks ago.
“She is one of our family, she doesn’t like to sleep in her cage (covered up) at night like a normal bird, she has her cage in my bedroom and sleeps on the top of it, and when I go to bed at night she chatters away to me and watches TV with me,” Mrs Elliott said.
“She follows you around the house like a puppy dog, she loves to nibble your toes when you are in the kitchen and will try and eat whatever you are eating and she guards my washing basket .
”She loves the shower – she actually asks to be showered and gets so excited. She can talk, although she doesn’t say a lot, she says her name ‘Pepper’,’Pepperdew’, ‘hello’.”
“Her favourite fruit is passionfruit and she loves mashed potatoes.”
If you have any information on Pepper’s whereabouts, call Mrs Elliott on 0403510954.
She says a reward will be paid upon her return.
