Tincknell has a 50 per cent strike rate in the past month riding nine winners from 18 rides.
She teams up with the Patrick Inwood-trained Fortza in the 1200 metre Open Handicap feature event tomorrow at Buchanan Park in what is the second last meeting before the end of the year.
But there is strong opposition in the race with Jay Morris’s quality sprinter Outstandingly the main danger.
Fortza will also come up against three stablemates Rocket On By, Pismo Beach and Elkalato.
Tanya Parry’s consistent Surpasser round outs the six-horse line-up but Tincknell is more than happy to be on Fortza.
“He’s as good a chance as any in the race with the weights that have been assigned,” Tincknell said.
“Obviously Outstandingly is and has been one of the toughest horses up here for a while, and will be tough to beat on Saturday, having won with that weight before. But the distance suits Fortza, as he has been kept relatively fresh.”
Outstandingly will lump 64kilograms in the race while the other five runners will carry only 56kg.
Tincknell will pair up with Inwood again in the 1000 metre Benchmark 60 Handicap with Commanding Spur, a horse she describes as ‘‘honest” but likely to be in the finish in a strong event.
“You can’t discount [jockey] Dan Ballard’s horse Hoodoo Guru or [jockey] Tasha Chambers’ Gesticulation, who will take some beating on Saturday.”
Inwood and Tincknell combine again for Buena Vida in the 1450 metre Class B Handicap.
“He’s been a little disappointing lately and hasn’t been as well as he should be,” Tincknell said.
“His main problem is getting out of the gates smoothly, because once he gets going, he’s as strong a chance as any.
“I’m hoping this weekend can be a turnaround for him as the class and distance does suit him, it’s just about avoiding a slow start.”
Tincknell will also jockey Extra in the 1450 Benchmark 65 Handicap and Saint Mary Mac in the 1200 metre Maiden Plate.
This is the second last race meet held at the Mount Isa Race Club this year, with the December 6 Christmas event wrapping up racing festivities for the season.
Gates open open at 11am and the first race is at 2pm with $10 entry.
