The 15 people will be arrested if they are found by police in the "Safe Night Out" precincts, which include Cavill Avenue and surrounding streets in Surfers Paradise and Jupiters Casino in Broadbeach.

The Safe Night Out laws, passed by the state government earlier this year, allow police to ban revellers from 14 Queensland nightspots even if no charges have been laid.

Acting Chief Superintendent Des Lacy said the 15 people had been prohibited for violent and anti-social behaviour.

He said the behaviour of schoolies during the weekend had been overwhelmingly good, although there was a small percentage who thought they were "untouchable".

"They're the percentage of people too, who believe it's not an offence unless they get caught. What they'll realise in life is that they will get caught eventually and they'll have to pay the price," he said.

Police have so far made 45 arrests, with the majority of the 30,000-odd expected schoolies packing the Gold Coast on Saturday and Sunday.

Those arrests included 26 from overnight, most of which were for public nuisance and street offences, as well as seven drug-related matters. Police also said 27 toolies were arrested.

Acting Chief Superintendent Lacy said one of the challenges of policing schoolies on the streets was differentiating school-leavers from older people.

He it was "impossible to pick them out" in areas other than designated schoolies hubs, which require photo identification and a wristband for entry.

"I am sure that there are predators. I am sure that there's offenders, robbers that will come in and use this event as an opportunity to commit offences," he said.

"What they don't realise is they're coming into a precinct with several hundred police and many, many volunteers and that probably shows the Dumb and Dumber nature of some of these offenders."

Acting Chief Superintendent Lacy said there had been no reports of sexual assaults or graffiti, and that there were no major incidents on the Gold Coast's new trams.

A 17-year-old woman was charged on the weekend with supplying drugs after allegedly being found with 25 ecstasy tablets.

During 2013 Schoolies week, 106 school-leavers were arrested on 116 charges, mostly for public nuisance offences. There were a further 248 toolies arrested on 329 charges.
