Just over five weeks ago, Abdel-Kader Russell-Boumzar faced court over an alleged racist rant against Queensland Rail security guard Josphat Mkhwananzi.

Russell-Boumzar was tracked down after a video of the incident was uploaded to Facebook and drew widespread condemnation, including from Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

The footage showed Russell-Boumzar unleashing a tirade of abuse against Mr Mkhwananzi, including calling him a "black dog" and telling the guard to "learn some f***ing English".

Russell-Boumzar took to social media to blame his behaviour on alcohol, and later said was sorry when released on bail.

"I would like to give an apology to the bloke on the train and to everyone that was offended by my video," he said on October 13.

Russell-Boumzar's bail conditions included staying at his parents' Paddington home when not at work, and not travelling on Queensland Rail Services.

However on Saturday Russell-Boumzar was discovered in Cavill Mall.

He faced the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to breaching bail and being drunk in public.

The 17-year-old was fined $350 and released ahead of his next court date in Brisbane on December 8.
