MOUNT Isa’s Tash Chambers will be seeking to ride back-to-back Pentland Cup champions tomorrow.
Chambers rode the Bob Burow-trained Boltonian to victory in last year’s event at the Pentland Race Club meeting.
Chambers will team up with Steven Royes’ Revel In The Chaos, as she attempts to claim her second 1600 metre class 4 Handicap Pentland Cup.
“I would love to win the cup again as it’s the last race my treasured pet Boltonian actually won, before he was forced into retirement due to a wind and throat issue,” Chambers said.
“Revel In The Chaos comes into the race in strong form, having won three out of his last four starts, including a huge win by 12.5 lengths at his last starts in Mount Isa.
“The fact that he hasn’t won a race over 1450 metre doesn’t worry me.
“At track work, he gives you the impression that he’ll appreciate the step up in distance to mile, as he seems to really wind up.”
Chambers has a full book tomorrow, with a runner in all five races scheduled.
“I’m also riding Dimi The Dancer for Steven Royes in the 1200 metre Benchmark 75 Handicap,” Chambers said.
“He is resuming from a spell, and Steven has him rock hard fit, so I’m sure the distance won’t be an issue.”
Chambers’ other three rides will see her team up with Steven Royes’ sister Shryn Gabriel–Royes, including Nuclear Missile in the 800 metre class 3 Plate.
“Nuclear Missile is a little fire cracker and I should be able to set him alight out of the gates,” she said.
Chambers’ final two rides are Ashlen in the 1000 metre Maiden Plate and Unreal in the 1200 metre Class B Handicap.
