The 11-year-old from Virginia, whose name has not been released, was last seen leaving a Jefferis Street address about 3.30pm on November 25.

He was last seen walking towards the Virginia train station.

"Police hold concerns for his welfare as his behaviour is out of character," the Queensland Police Service statement said.

The boy is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 145 centimetres tall, with a solid build and short, light-brown hair.

At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black T-shirt and blue shorts, and had a green scooter.
