Queenslanders will go to the  polls sometime before June 20, 2015, with asset sales set to be a key plank of the LNP government's bid for re-election.

But besides opposing the sales, Ms Palaszczuk is being tight-lipped on ALP policy.

She told Fairfax Radio 4BC Mornings it was all part of the plan.

"I have had a very distinct plan in place for the last three years, rebuilding that trust in Queenslanders, listening, getting in place good candidates and next year will be our year of policy announcements, including economic policy," she said.

"... they [Queenslanders] do know that we will not be selling assets."

After the last state election, Labor was reduced to seven MPs.

"The LNP campaigned against asset sales," Ms Palaszczuk said.

"I want these assets to work better for Queenslanders and I do not want to see our assets sold off and Queenslanders having to pay, especially families, having to pay higher electricity bills."

But Transport Minister Scott Emerson said it was an admission Labor was hoping to "sleepwalk into office".

"This is an Opposition that wants to try and sneak into the election," he said.

"Labor's only plan is to bring back the same kind of people who got them into trouble in the first place.

"This is an opposition that has wasted three years, hasn't been planning, hasn't been doing the hard work and today has admitted it has no plan.

"All they want to do is sleepwalk into the next election hoping the public doesn't realise they've got no plan for Queensland."

Ms Palaszczuk said her Victorian counterparts, who relegated the Liberal state government to one-term with their weekend election win, had taken their cue from Queensland Labor's grass-root rebuilding campaign.

"I think in some instances, Victoria has actually been looking to what Queensland has been doing," she said.

"We had candidates out in the field for over a year. They have been out there phone polling, talking to people, getting involved in their community groups, going to P and Cs.

"Never before  have we had so many candidates out in the field, so far out from the state election."

Mr Emerson, like Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek before him, said Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who has been blamed for the Liberals loss, would be welcome in Queensland.

"Of course Tony Abbott will campaign in the State Election but the reality is this is going to be about Queensland," he said.

"This is about the LNP's strong plan."
