I CAN’T believe, after reading the editorial in Dec 16 The North West Star, that the appointment of a campaign manager for a political candidate in the upcoming state election can diminish the great news, as a result of Robbie Katter’s “Winton Last Stand” meeting, that two of the major banks in Australia were shamed into helping drought-stricken farmers.

I have never read so much rubbish in my life. Here we have a local representative who goes out of his way and makes an effort to help the people in his electorate and your editorial goes out of its way to diminish the good work done by him.
This has given me another reason why I have cancelled my subscription to The North West Star.
