The coaching structure at the Western Bulldogs is starting to take shape, as the club announces a slew of new appointments, including former VFL development manager Chris Maple as head of development at the club.

More than a month after the club named its new coach Luke Beveridge, they appointed Maple to lead their development program, making him responsible for supporting up-and-coming players and refining the club's player development strategy.
General manager Graham Lowe said Maple is an "extremely valuable person" who will help strengthen the skill set of the club's younger players.
Maple, who was the VFL development manager for six years, and was awarded the 2013 development coach of the year award by the AFL Coaches Association, said he will continue to "help younger players reach their potential."
"We have a great opportunity at this club to work with a talented group of young people, but also a great responsibility that they are given the right support and guidance to become well-rounded AFL players," he said.
Further changes at the club include the appointment of Joel Corey to the midfield coaching line, where he will work alongside Steven King as assistant coach.
Daniel Giansiracusa was named assistant coach for the forward line and Craig Jennings - originally from Essendon - has been appointed opposition analyst.
And development coach Ashley Hansen will take up the post of VFL Coach for season 2015.
Those holding onto their previous positions include Rohan Smith, who will enter his third season in 2015 as backline assistant coach and Brett Montgomery, who will continue his role as senior assistant.
