Mount Isa residents looking for the perfect Christmas gift can take advantage of the opportunity to buy a piece of history with copies of the beautifully bound hardback Progress and Prosper available for the special price of $29.50.
Featuring glossy pictures of scenes and identities from throughout the region, Progress and Prosper would make an ideal Christmas present to showcase the outback to family and friends throughout Australia and overseas.
Mayor Tony McGrady said it was the ideal chance for residents to pick up a copy of the book, which delves into the history of Mount Isa and tells a story of its many characters and personalities throughout the years.
Progress and Prosper was commissioned in partnership by the Mount Isa City Council and Mount Isa Mines to celebrate Mount Isa’s 90th birthday.
The publication is available this Christmas at the Mount Isa City Council on West Street, Thingodontas Den, Harrison’s Book Country, MacRae News, Bella Duck and Outback at Isa.
