Jaimi Lee Kenny, 27. was caught drink-driving on November 29, recording a blood alcohol reading of 0.23 per cent - more than four times over the limit. She was fined $1200 and disqualified from driving for 11 months.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Leonie Scott said police pulled Kenny's car over on the Sunshine Motorway at Mountain Creek about 11pm after noticing the car swerving within the marked lanes and over the edge line.

She said Kenny told police she was not sure how much alcohol she had consumed, but she had her first drink at 8.30am and "could have had" 16 Strongbow Ciders.

Lawyer Chelsea Emery, appearing for Kenny, told the court her client had struggled with anxiety since she was 14, but alcohol became a "feature of her life" after a relationship breakdown two years ago.
