Each area of the hospital has chosen to decorate in different themes in order to win this year’s Christmas decoration competition. There were six categorise to be won with the grand prize going to the clinical support team with the Santa’s Workshop theme.
North West Hospital and Health Service chief executive Sue Belsham said this had been the second year of decorating, and all the staff got into decorating their own wards.
“This is the second year we have run the competition and it is even more popular with our health facilities and staff than last year,” she said.
“The staff have set up Christmas decorations and lights in wards, offices and work areas at health facilities throughout the region.
“The competition started last year as a lovely way for staff to celebrate the Christmas period, but it has quickly becoming a much more meaningful tradition for the North West HHS.
“It’s become a way of recognising the outstanding efforts of our staff as well as inviting our patients and visitors to share in the Christmas spirit.”
