South east Queensland was recovering on Friday evening after being pounded by heavy rain - but Mother Nature isn't quite done yet, with more showers to come on Saturday and Sunday.

The low pressure system driving the rain is the same one that wreaked havoc in Central Queensland earlier in the week.
It was predicted to stick around into Friday night, but with much less rain, making more flooding less likely.
"It's easing tonight to a few showers around the area," Bureau of Meteorology weather forecaster Vinord Anand said on Friday.
"There'll still be showers around the south east, just near the coast probably.
"You might see the rainfall around 15-20mm," he said.
That's compared with the more than 100mm that fell in the 24 hours to 9am in some areas of the south east, and several more 100mm-plus falls since mid-morning Friday.
During the chaos swift-water rescue crews saved a 15-year-old boy from rushing flood waters at Currumbin Valley, beaches were closed and a car collided with a tram at Surfers Paradise.

Emergency services were also forced to rescue multiple people trapped in flooded cars both in Brisbane and on the coasts and were begging motorists to stay out of floodwaters.
The SES was kept busy, with 200 SES callouts in the south east, 120 in the wider Brisbane region alone, mostly for leaking roofs. However, there were also some requests for sandbags.
Most of the heavy rain in Brisbane had eased by lunchtime but a higher-than-usual high tide helped keep river and creek levels high.
