It comes as a social media campaign from a self-described "bikie" encouraged other gang members to donate to the LNP.

Mr Newman first made the accusation that bikie gangs were funnelling money to the Labor Party through one of its most powerful union backers, the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union at the People's Forum on Friday night.

The People's Forum at Red Hill saw both Mr Newman and Opposition Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk field over a dozen questions from 100 hand-picked 'undecided' voters live on Sky News.

When asked to provide evidence of his claims by journalists on Saturday, Mr Newman told them to "Google it" and that it was for Labor to prove what he was saying wasn't true.

The LNP has since released a video showing Electrical Trades Union Secretary Peter Simpsons speaking to a rally outside parliament during the height of the anti-association laws protests, telling protesters that some of the ETU members would be disadvantaged because of the laws.

It ends with a note that the union has donated more than $200,000 to the Labor Party.

A spokesman for the ETU said the Premier's allegations "are getting more bizarre and more desperate" and the union's accounts were independently audited and registered with the Fair Work Commission, with all political donations disclosed to the ECQ.

"If Mr Newman has any evidence, he should make a police complaint immediately," he said.

One man, Angelo Garozzo, who describes himself as a bikie on Facebook posts, donated to the LNP through their online site and then encouraged others to do the same.

"By doing so he is really accepting bikie money!!!!! And then we will go to the media with proof that NEWMAN (sic) is getting paid by
bikies!! Take a screen shot of your payment as proof.  This'll put a spanner in the works," he posted late on Saturday night.

He later included a screenshot of his own donation confirmation.

LNP State Director Brad Henderson said the donation was a "stunt" and had been refunded, although it is understood other associates of Mr Garozzo have since made further donations.

"The party is unaware of any donation from bikies apart from one who admitted it was a deliberate stunt to distract from the established links between bikies and some unions," he said.

"The stunt is further evidence that bikies want a weak Labor Government in power to repeal the tough LNP laws cracking down on criminal gangs."

Speaking in Bundaberg on Sunday, Mr Newman, who has often spoken out against what he has called baseless claims against himself and his party - referring to it as "spooky music" - has still not given any evidence to his claims, but said "Queenslanders...say this to me all the time".

"I go back to the very clear facts that we know. We know the criminal gangs, the bikies, have backed the Labor Party in this election - fact number one," he said.

"The second fact that we know is that the Labor Party get huge amounts of money, wads of cash from the unions.

"That's what we know and Queenslanders will be the ones who will make the judgement on the things that I have said.

"What's the connection between unions and bikies? Well, ladies and gentlemen people have seen what has gone on and they will make the judgment. I mean, it's not for us to judge.

"I put these things on the table but they're the things that Queenslanders say to me.

"As I go around the state people say to me, Campbell we know that the unions and the criminal gangs have a close association. They've seen that, they understand that and they know also that the bikies are backing the Labor party. They are saying to me, be strong.

"I say to people on the weekend you have a choice. If you are concerned about the Labor Party's position, which is weak on law and
order, which is weak on criminal motorcycle gangs then, if you are concerned about that, there is only one choice in this election. Vote one for the LNP because we will make this state safe."

When asked whether the people who told him of these concerns were going to the police or the royal commission, Mr Newman said "indeed they have been", but could not provide any further information.

Mr Newman and members of his government are suing broadcaster Alan Jones and Fairfax Radio 4BC over links Jones made between donations from New Hope's mine approval in the Darling Downs and the more than $1 million in donations its parent company made to the state and federal Coalition.

Mr Newman said he was not being hypocritical.

ALP Campaign Director Anthony Chisholm said Queenslanders were "seeing an increasingly desperate Premier" and called on the LNP to "withdraw the TV ad they are running which makes this claim" if they could not provide any evidence.
