It's costings time. The LNP will reveal how it plans to pay for its election promises on Tuesday afternoon.
The party's asset lease and privatisation plan frees up at least $8.6 billion to pay for infrastructure, such as the Sunshine Coast rail line duplication and the Boundary Road overpass.
But other commitments, such as the Exit 54 upgrade on the Gold Coast and the extension of the iPads for police roll out, will come from budget costings.
The timing of the announcement comes after three days of mis-steps by the Premier on the campaign trail.
On Saturday, he dug in on his stance to only guarantee promises in electorates where LNP candidates won.
And later that day, he expanded on his claims that the Labor Party was being funded by criminal bikies, while refusing to provide evidence, saying it was up to Labor to prove he was wrong.
On Sunday, Mr Newman claimed he was only passing on the concerns of Queenslanders regarding Labor and criminal gang funding, but the LNP was then forced to contend with a social media campaign from self-described bikies donating to the party and then bragging on Facebook.
On Monday, Mr Newman, in an attempt to get back on track, answered every question asked of him with a reference to jobs, the economy and his government's strong plan, including queries on industrial relation reform, penalty rates, Prince Philip's knighthood and the weather.
On Tuesday morning, the Premier, flanked by Treasurer Tim Nicholls and Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney, toured Cook Medical in a picture-only media event, with costings to be the main focus of the day.
But the past few days have taken their toll. Woodridge LNP candidate Steve Vilamu borrowed from Mr Newman's line to not judge him on Prime Minister Tony Abbott and the federal government.
When speaking to Fairfax Radio 4BC on Tuesday morning, Mr Vilamu asked Woodridge voters, who are expected to elect Labor's Cameron Dick to take over from retiring Labor MP Desley Scott, to "not focus on what Campbell is doing, focus on what I can do for them".
"I said, yes, he's our leader and yes, he's doing a tough job in a tough situation, but I'm here to represent them, not Campbell," he said.
"I'm here going to pulling for them. I'm here going to be putting pressure on the boss to spend money here in Woodridge. "...Vote for me, not for Campbell."
