Police allege a 29-year-old man returned to his home in High Street, Southport after 10am to find four men inside.
It's alleged three men armed with metal bars and one with a knife attacked him, causing non life-threatening injuries.
They then left with the resident's wallet and mobile phone.
A 39-year-old New South Wales man and 18-year-old Southport man will face court on Saturday charged with armed robbery and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Investigations are continuing.
Also on the Gold Coast, police are searching for a man who held up a Parkwood convenience store just after 1pm on Friday.
The man threatened a female staff member at the shop on Parkwood Boulevard, leaving on foot with money from the till.
He's described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall, slim build, and believed to be in his late teens or early twenties.
