Mount Isa Mines has renewed its major sponsorship of the city’s world famous rodeo for the next three years.
Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo manager Natalie Flecker said she was thrilled to confirm that Mount Isa Mines had again come onboard as the naming rights and gold level sponsor of the rodeo for another three year period.
“We are so grateful for the level of support Mount Isa Mines provides to the whole community, and through its long-term sponsorship of the rodeo, it allows us to move forward with confidence in staging a world-class event,” Ms Flecker said.
“Mount Isa Mines and the rodeo have been linked since our very first rodeo and their support for our community is invaluable. There’s no doubt that Mount Isa Mines’ long-term and loyal support of the rodeo has helped us grow the event to its legendary status today as one of the most spectacular rodeos in the world.”
Chief operating officer North Queensland copper assets Australia Mike Westerman said he was delighted to continue the mine’s long history of support for the iconic event.
“Mount Isa is known for two things around the world, Mount Isa Mines and the Isa Rodeo, so it is no coincidence that the two are now strongly linked,” Mr Westerman said.
“Mount Isa Mines has been a major sponsor of the Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo for more than 50 years, which is a sign of our support and ongoing commitment to Mount Isa and its annual premiere event.”
