England's World Cup anthem from the legendary Mancunians is arguably the most famous football song of them all. It provided the electronica pioneers with their only chart-topping single and features a rap from John Barnes, who played 79 matches for the Three Lions. In addition to Jones's cameo the entire England squad also sing backing vocals on parts of the track.
9. Enrique Iglesias - Escape (2002)

Yeah, yeah, I know. But we never claimed this list would feature exclusively good songs. Julio junior's 2002 single is best known for its cameo from tennis's then-it girl Anna Kournikova. It could also be the reason the mute button was invented.
8. MC Hammer - 2 Legit 2 Quit (1991)

The artist known to his family as Stanley Kirk Burrell may have tossed in music for a career in the priesthood during the 1990s but not before recruiting basically everyone for this video. Jose Canseco, Isiah Thomas, Roger Clemens, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, Jerry Rice, the list goes on ....
7. Reg Reagan and the Knuckleheads - Am I Ever Gonna See The Biff Again? (2004)

The Footy Show cult hero's take on The Angels' 1976 classic peaked just outside the Australian top 10 in 2004 on its way to becoming a gold single. Make of that what you will. In addition to plenty of archival biffo footage (only time you'll ever see those three words together I'm sure) the video features then-Footy Show stalwarts Paul Vautin, Peter Sterling, Paul Harragon and Mario Fenech.
6. Hootie and the Blowfish - Only Wanna Be With You (1995)

Twenty five million people (!) bought Cracked Rear View, the 1994 album from the South Carolina band that this track is taken from. That sort of unit-shifting obviously earns you plenty of bargaining power when you want to get NFL hall-of-fame quarterback Dan Marino to star in a video.
5. Tina Turner - The Best (1989)

A bit of a cheat, this one, but considering its sporting pedigree in Australia I think it deserves a guernsey. In any case, you can complain over to the right there. In addition to being the theme song of the NSWRL for what seems like an eternity, one famous version of this song was performed in Adelaide in 1993. A day after winning the Australian Grand Prix, the late Ayrton Senna crashed the stage to a massive ovation. The queen of rock 'n roll then played her signature tune (again) as a tribute to the world champion.
4. P Diddy- Bad Boy 4 Life (2001)

Sean Puff Diddy P Combs Daddy certainly enlisted plenty of star power for this one, which also boasts cameos from Snoop Dogg and Ben Stiller along with a host of other big names from the hip-hop world. The sports cred comes at 3:48, when a glimpse of Mike Tyson then gives way to the unmistakeable 2.16m frame of the great Shaquille O'Neal.
3. Hoodoo Gurus - My Girl (1983)

My Girl's place as the most famous greyhound in Australian popular culture was unthreatened until Red Rocket and Coco staked their claims in The Castle in 1997. The race shown in the video is the 1983 National Sprint at Harold Park, won by Winifred Bale, while this first hit spurred the Gurus on to a successful career that continues today.
2. Powderfinger - Like A Dog (2001)

Nabbing Anthony Mundine, barely two months after his first professional fight, to star in the clip for the 'Finger's politically-charged 2001 single was a statement in itself. But it wasn't the first or the last time The Man popped up in a music clip. Had you spotted him as a teenager in Angry Anderson's Bound For Glory? He also dabbled in hip-hop in 2004 with a guest spot on Joel Turner and the Modern Day Poets' Knock U Out.
1. Michael Jackson - Jam (1992)

When the late Wacko Jacko released this as the fourth single from 1991's Dangerous album he was entering the twilight of his reign as King of Pop. Michael Jordan was at the peak of his powers, having won the first of his three straight championships that year with the Chicago Bulls. Put arguably the two most famous men on the planet in one place and it's hard to come up with any other No.1.
