A 100-YEAR-OLD World War II veteran will reignite Wagga's eternal flame of remembrance on Tuesday.

Colin Bell, Wagga's oldest surviving war veteran and a member of the RSL sub-branch, will light the flame in the Victory Memorial Gardens during a service starting at 10.30am.
The flame will be in a reflection pond that has replaced a smaller memorial installed about 25 years ago.
The project has been funded by the Wagga sub-branch of the RSL, the RSL Club, Wagga City Council and the federal government.
Sub-branch president Kevin Kerr will officially open the memorial in the presence of mayor Rod Kendall and RSL Club president John Keys.
The ceremony will include a rendition of the song Lest We Forget by the RSL Rural Youth Commemorative Choir.
Mr Kerr said he believed representatives of more than 30 Wagga schools would also be present at the opening.
"It's good to see the schools there to carry on the Anzac spirit," Mr Kerr said.
