Greater Western Sydney coach Leon Cameron thinks the AFL should make the Giants' Anzac Day game and pre-season clash with the Sydney Swans permanent fixtures to help grow the game in the nation's capital.

He's also confident Swans superstar Lance "Buddy" Franklin will bring his larger-than-life personality to Manuka Oval on March 22.
The Giants are entering the fourth year of their $23 million, 10-year deal with the ACT government to play four games at Manuka every season and Cameron thinks it's a no-brainer to make bring the Swans to Canberra every year.
Both clubs consider the nation's capital their territory, with the Swans having played at Manuka before GWS arrived on the scene.
With the pre-season NAB Challenge beginning on Thursday, Cameron feels it would only benefit the game to make it a permanent fixture.
"Absolutely, the Swans have no doubt got a number of supporters here in Canberra and the Giants are building as well ... having the Swans and Giants playing here every year in the NAB Cup fixture would be fantastic," he told Fairfax Media.
"It just keeps on gaining momentum and interest from people thinking about watching our sport. It makes sense to me to play each other in the NAB Cup [every year]."
Especially when Sydney have the biggest name in the game on their books.
Cameron felt there were certain players who transcended their sport and bring the crowds regardless of what code they played.
He felt Franklin was in there with the likes of Sonny Bill Williams and Jarryd Hayne as a genuine star of sport.
"I think Sydney will be full strength for the last game of the NAB Cup, we'll definitely be aiming to be full strength," Cameron said.
"I think it'll be great for the people of Canberra and the surrounding areas to see a superstar in action - we all know how good.
"There's certain names in sport that can change the way people view [it], change the way people walk through the turnstiles because they actually want to see these big names."
During his playing career with the Western Bulldogs and Richmond, Cameron never got the chance to be part of Anzac Day, but he will this year as a coach.
The Giants will play the Gold Coast Suns at Manuka, as part of five games across Australia and New Zealand on the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli invasion.
Cameron felt the AFL should make it a permanent game on the fixture, like they do with Essendon and Collingwood at the MCG.
He felt holding it in Canberra, the home of the Australian War Memorial, would add an extra special aura to the game.
"It's a privilege for our entire club that we can play on that day, especially the significant moment of 100 years of history of the Anzacs at Gallipoli," Cameron said.
"It's a great thing for Canberra and our footy club as well.
"It adds mystique [playing in Canberra], an aura, excitement, with the tradition, the stories of war veterans.
"I think it's great. [Kevin Sheedy] has had a hand in this as well, originally started in '95 with Essendon and Collingwood.
"We would love to see this as a permanent fixture every year, whether that's the Gold Coast Suns or another side, we'd love to represent our footy club on Anzac Day."
