The opening game of the finals was taken out 9–5 by ‘The Team’ against ‘Aces B’ with Brian Silayo being named man of the match. Lades division one winners Bush Babes capped off a strong season by winning the competition decider.
Bush Babes forward player Kayla Tydd said it was a strong way to finish a solid season.
“There was some really good competition this year and everyone was really competitive,” she said.
“The people that ran the games did a really great job as well.”
Bush Babes won 4–1 against Tigers in the final.
In the Men’s Division one Billy’s Team took out the title against Stewillcarryus with a
7 – 6 victory.
Billy’s Team Captain Rowan Murphy said not only did they win the grand final, but also finished on top of the ladder.
“A lot of the games were really tough this year so there were some strong teams,” he said.
Murphy commended Stewillcarryus for a close game.
The sides had met each other twice throughout the season with each team coming away with one win apiece.
